Dead Sea Mud Shampoo Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I received my bottle of Adovia Dead Sea Mud Shampoo a couple of days ago and have to say I am very impressed with this product. At first I was unsure about using a shampoo with the word "mud" in it (seems counter intuitive), but "Dead Sea" really caught my attention.  The Dead Seas is well known for it's healing qualities so I figured I'd give the shampoo a go.  The ingredients list is pretty simple, nothing too scary on there if you aren't a fan of using a lot of chemicals on your body.

For one, this shampoo is not very mud-like.  It's color is similar, but the texture is like any other shampoo, perhaps a touch thicker.  It has a nice, subtle smell (not the overpowering smell you get from a lot of shampoos) and lathered up nicely.  The first day I used the shampoo I did so with my usual conditioner and noticed my hair wasn't quite as frizzy as it usually is, which is saying something because it was raining that day.  The second day I decided to see what would happen if I used only the shampoo and not conditioner along side it.  I was impressed that my hair was still soft and shiny the next day, not try and brittle feeling like it usually is when I don't use conditioner alongside it.  I usually only wash my hair every 2-3 days (one of the benefits of curly hair!) and with this shampoo I definitely don't feel like my hair gets overly greasy sooner than that.  So all in all I'm happy with it for my hair type (wavy/curly, dyed, and a touch damaged because I never cut it).

The price is a little expensive for a shampoo, especially since I'm a very frugal person, but otherwise I am loving my Adovia Dead Sea Mud Shampoo!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
