Green Gift Guide 2012 | Collectables

It's time to continue my series for my fabulous UK readers with this year's Green Gift Guide!  Collectables is a great online shop full of tons of great gift ideas for everyone on your gift list.  This is one of those places I could spend hours just browsing and still never see everything there is to see.  The selection ranges from Hand Bags to Watches.  Crystal to Candles.  There are far too many gift ideas to list here, so here are three of my favorite gift ideas.

For Him...
If your husband is anything like mine, he needs a good watch.  I love my hubby more than anything, but he can have issues with promptness.  Especially this time of the year, with so much going on, it's often important to be on time.  This is why a good, quality watch is a great gift idea for pretty much any man who has somewhere to be.  For my husband I would personally go with the Accurist MS920BB Acctiv Mens Watch. It's sporty, subtle, looks durable, and is water resistant up to 100M.  It's also currently 10% off.  The price may seem a bit high, especially for my frugal readers, but anyone who's ever had a good watch in their life knows that they don't come cheap.  This watch is pleasing to the eyes and would make a great gift for a husband, father, brother, etc.  Especially one who is active and on the go like my husband.

For Her...
Traditionally the first anniversary gift is paper, and since my husband and I are about to celebrate our first anniversary in a few months, I was immediately drawn to the Stationary selection at Collectables when trying to figure out what I would love most from this shop as a gift.  I love stationary sets in general, so it seemed an obvious choice for me.  From there I was immediately drawn to the Emma Bridgewater Photo Albums.  I love the adorable design and, when filled with images from the past year, it would make a great gift for a wife, mother, sister, etc.  Not even for a first anniversary (although it's a great idea for that, too!).   They are currently 50% off RRP prices as well and a very great deal for a gift!  The two albums come complete with a hard storage case so they can be kept in good condition for enjoyment for years to come.  My family still has albums from when my mother was a young child so photos are often a valuable, much loved gift for many.

For a Child...
According to the Collectables' website, Charlie Bears are the most popular gifts available through their shop.  Really, once you look upon their adorable plush faces, you'll know why instantly.  I can't even pick one that I love the most, but can think of at least a dozen kids on my gift list this year who would love one.  Initially I was attracted to Charlie Bear Cobweb because of his big ears, but then I saw the Charlie Bears Isabelle Masterpiece 2011, which is expensive but so cute!  Scrolling down further Dolce and George caught my eye.  Finally Xena made me laugh out loud at her utter cuteness.  Needless to say, I will not be picking a favorite (although I'm picturing Xena so you can appreciate her cuteness as well).  If you have a very special child on your list this year, consider a Charlie Bears for him or her.  It is a gift they will treasure for a lifetime.  I know that I myself would treasure one of these should I find one with my name on it under the tree Christmas morning!

So for great gift ideas for everyone on your list, young and old, check out Collectables.  Be sure you have lots of time to explore, it's a great shop with so much to offer!
