Green Gift Guide 2012 | Uncommon Goods Review and Giveaway

To kick things off I would like to tell you about one of my favorite online stores for gift buying, UncommonGoods.  This website caught my eye a long time ago and I've been a huge fan of their online store ever since.  They have gifts for virtually everyone!  Babies, kids, husbands, wives (here), parents, siblings, grandparents, friends, etc.  If your friends and family have a sense of humor, this is the one stop shop for all of your Christmas needs!  Just click here to start shopping!

UncommonGoods was kind enough to send me some of their products for a hands-on review of two products that really caught my eye.  First, as many of you know, in February I became a proud auntie to a beautiful little girl, Miss F.  As an added bonus, Miss F lives with us (well, on the same property at least!) so I've had the honor of watching her grow up.  So when I saw the Acute Little Angle onsie I immediately thought of her!  Click here to check it out.  While math is far from being my favorite subject I am a huge nerd.  Upon seeing this onsie I think I cracked up for a good five minutes.  When I showed it to C he didn't get it at first.  Yeah... it requires a bit of thinking but that's what I love about it most.

The onsie is sized for 6-9 months, unfortunately I didn't take into account how long my niece is.  At 6 months she was already wearing 12-18 month clothing and she did not fit into this.  Luckily, there is no shortage in my life of pregnant women and newborns so the onsie is currently on its way to a friend who is due in December.  When her little girl is born I've demanded a picture so that I can show you just how cute this thing is in action!

But wait, I've saved the best part for last... it's ORGANIC!  Yay for being eco-friendly and full of nerdy awesomeness.  For $25 this onsie would make an amazing gift for a baby or any expecting mother on your gift list.  I think it would also make a great White Elephant gift exchange.  I know I'd love to get it even if I didn't have a baby around.  Yeah, I'm that much of a nerd.  This onsie not quite your thing?  Click here to check out the wide range of Onsies available on UncommonGoods to find the one that is perfect for the baby in your life!

The next product I'd like to share with you is the Iconic Camera Bag.  I always like seeing what photography related products online stores like Uncommon Goods has to offer and was pleased to see quite the variety.  The bag caught my eye because it's simple and affordable, which means it makes a great gift!  It's not a camera bag, but a bag with a camera on it (although, if you really wanted to you could fit a Rebel sized camera into it, but it's not padded).  I love the bag because it's simple but has plenty of pockets for necessities, like your cell phone and wallet, and not too big that you will weigh yourself down hauling around a bunch of random job.

At just $28 the Iconic Camera Bag would make a great gift for anyone who has a hobby or career in photography or a teen who's starting to dabble.  The bag itself is handflocked in Minnesota, my home state!  So by purchasing this item and many others from UncommonGoods you are helping to support US based jobs and manufacturing.  Which is right in line with UncommonGoods' mission statement, which you can read by clicking here.

These are just two of many fabulous and unique products available at UncommonGoods.  It's a great online marketplace to buy affordable, top quality, eco-friendly, hand made, locally made, and beautiful gifts for your friends and family.  Also a great place to find some fun and unique stocking stuffers, just head on over to begin searching for the perfect stocking stuffers.  What more could you ask for?

WIN IT!

Enter today for your chance to win an Acute Little Angle onsie and an Iconic Camera Bag.  There will be ONE winner that will win both prizes.  This giveaway has a retail value of $53.   Please use the Rafflecopter widget below to enter.  This giveaway will end at 11:59PM on November 22nd.  Good luck!
