Gift Guide 2011 : ECOlunchbox Solo Cube Review and Giveaway

Get back to the Green basics this holiday season and give your loves ones some eco-friendly gifts that they can use and enjoy throughout the year!  My Mom brown-bags her lunches at work everyday.  It's a frugal way to save some money, but not the best option Green-wise.  ECOlunchbox is a company that can help her and anyone else who brown bags their lunches not only save money but be eco-friendly at the same time!

At only $15 the Furoshiki ECOsnacksack is a great alternative to the brown bag at a low price!  Choose from 6 styles of these fully lined and machine washable bags and add some style to your meals!  Want to splurge a little?  Get your loved on an ECOlunchette Kit ($45) which includes a zip-able and machine washable lunch bag, as well as a food container, 1 napkin, and a spork made of sustainably grown bamboo!

About halfway through the summer my Mom won a drawing at her work and actually won a nice reusable lunch bag that I know she loves.  So instead of getting her a lunch bag for Christmas this year my attention turned to ECOlunchbox's line of stainless steal, reusable lunch containers!  They make packing a lunch easy and keep your lunch bag from getting dirty too quickly!

The ECOlunchbox Three-in-One ($22) comes with three containers and is a great way to keep food separate.  This will help keep sandwiches from getting squishes, fruit from mixing with veggies, and keep everything packed in neat stainless steal boxes that are easy to clean and maintain!

This year for Christmas I am giving my Mom the Solo Cube, a 5 1/4 inch square and 1 7/8 inch deep stainless steel food container, a perfect size for a sandwich on sliced bread!  At only $19 it's an affordable and eco-friendly gift.  The container is non-leaching, unbreakable, and dishwasher safe.  It's a gift that the receiver can use for years to come!

To test it out, I actually used the container on a road trip recently, packing it full of my favorite treats for the road.  The lid snaps on securely and even rolling around in my back seat it didn't open or dent!  Then I threw it into the sink, scrubbed it out, and repackaged it.  It looked like new!  You'd never be able to tell I'd testing it out.

Who It's a Great Gift For: In my case, this is a great gift for my Mom who bag-lunches it to work every day.  This would also be a fun gift for a child who doesn't like their food to mix or maybe one who wants to take their lunch to school in style!

Head on over to the ECOlunchbox to purchase the items mentioned in this review and many more.  The Solo Cube sells on the website for $19.  ECOlunchbox products are also available in at several brick and mortar stores including Whole Foods Market, The Container Store, and New Leaf Community Markets.  Check their website for a full list of retailers so you can find your favorite ECOlunchbox product in a store near you!

I would keep it for my self and my husband to use. We stopped using plastic to take lunches to work and this would be perfect!
